Paper Submission Guideline for Authors
1. Introduction
Thank you for your interest in submitting a paper to the Second International Conference on i-COMPUTER 2024. Please read the following guidelines carefully to ensure your paper submission meets all requirements.
2. Paper Categories
Authors are invited to submit papers in the following categories:
Full Research Papers: Comprehensive studies presenting significant research contributions (8-12 pages).
Abstract: Concise reports of innovative ideas (1 page).
3. Submission Deadlines
Abstract Submission Deadline: 16th August 2024
Full Paper Submission Deadline: 20th September 2024
Notification of Acceptance: 18th October 2024
Camera-Ready Paper Due: 15th November 2024
Registration for Conference: 15th November 2024
4. Paper Formatting Guidelines
Papers must adhere to the following formatting guidelines:
Document Format: Papers must be submitted in PDF format.
Page Size: A4 (210 x 297 mm)
Font: Times New Roman, 10-point size
Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides
Line Spacing: Single-spaced
Columns: Two columns with a 0.25-inch (0.64 cm) space between them
Title: Bold, 14-point font, centered at the top of the first page
Author Information: Names, affiliations, and email addresses should be listed below the title
Abstract: A concise abstract (150-250 words) should be placed before the main text
Keywords: 3-5 keywords listed below the abstract
References: Use IEEE citation style for references
Templates in LaTeX and Microsoft Word formats will be available on the conference website.
5. Submission Process
Create an Account: Authors must create an account on the conference submission portal.
Submit Abstract: Authors should submit an abstract for initial review by the specified deadline.
Full Paper Submission: After abstract approval, submit the full paper in PDF format. Author can directly submit the full paper.
Review Process: All submissions will be peer-reviewed by at least three experts in the field.
Revision and Resubmission: Authors may need to revise their papers based on reviewer feedback.
6. Review Criteria
Papers will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
Relevance: Suitability of the topic for the conference
Originality: Novelty and originality of the contribution
Technical Quality: Rigor and soundness of the methodology
Clarity: Clarity and organization of the presentation
Significance: Impact and significance of the results
7. Ethical Considerations
Authors must adhere to ethical standards in research and writing:
Plagiarism: Submissions must be original and free from plagiarism. (less than 20% desirable)
Conflicts of Interest: Disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
Authorship: Ensure all listed authors have made significant contributions to the work.
8. Presentation Requirements
Oral Presentations: Full and short papers will be presented orally at the conference for 15 minutes and 5 minutes for discussion.
Abstract Presentations: Abstract will be presented for 5 min and 5 min for discussion.
9. Supplemental Materials
Authors are encouraged to submit supplemental materials such as datasets, code, or additional figures to support their papers. These materials can be submitted alongside the paper and should be clearly labeled.
10. Registration Requirements
At least one author of each accepted paper must register for the conference by the early registration deadline to ensure inclusion in the conference program and proceedings. Details on registration fees and deadlines are available on the conference website.
11. Post-Conference Publication
Selected high-quality papers will be invited for extended versions to be published in a special issue of a reputable journal and publisher. Authors of selected papers will be contacted with further details after the conference.
